Pharmacy companies is a rip off

So with insurance & deductible met the pharmacy charges insurance company  $22.00 for medicine but if you haven't met your deductible you have to pay $174.00, how fair is that? The insurance company gets charged less then you do.
Jody had been off from 1 of her meds due to this for 3 days now & has been really sick due to it. This is wrong. We should get charged the same price as the insurance company does

Rain sucks

Not much happened here today. Its been raining on & off all day. Which means no work today. Jody has been in bed with her electric blanket all day. The rain causes her to have pain plus she still not getting the right amount of sleep.
Since we changed insurance I have to figure out how to pay for Jodys medicines. I have to pick 1 up this week and am not for sure how I an going to do it. Its $157 just for the 1 medicine.
We called to check on her ssi, they still haven't made a decision yet. I dont know if that's a good thing or bad thing yet.
Well i am off to bed. Lets hope for good weather tomorrow so I can work. Have a good night.

Sorry so late

Hello Everyone. First I hope everyone had a good holiday. Ours was ok. Jody hasn’t still been able to eat all that much. She sleeps a lot when she can sleep. There are days where she does not sleep at all. Which I know is not good for her. But she has tried everything to get some sleep and nothing seems to work.  When her body has had enough being awake, finally she is able to sleep.

This weather hasn’t been helping her either. It seems like her pain level has been pretty high lately.  She spends a lot of her time in the bed with her heating blanket on, and all 4 dogs laying with her on the bed lol. Jody said when I am at work it’s like they know she’s not feeling good, so they won’t bother her to go outside 20 times a day. Our backyard is fenced in, so all we have to do is open back door to let them out. But with the way the weather has been we have to shut the door after they come in otherwise the heat would be running more.

A lot has been going on here. I know some knows about it but others don’t. Jody and I try to keep our problems to ourselves, don’t ask anyone for help or let anyone know what’s going on.

But right now we are stuck and don’t know what else to do.  Where do I begin?   We bought this house with my settlement. We put $40,500 down on it.  We figured instead of blowing the money buying a house was a better decision. I can’t name the company we went through to get the house right now but I will tell you this never again.  I tell our friends to stay away from them. If I knew what I know now I would have looked elsewhere.

Anyhow, long story short but we are losing the house. We have tried everything. We tried to get a loan with a different company but due to the company that has our loan no one will touch it. We tried for some programs but due to certain things being written up a certain way no one could help.

Legal aide told us to file bankruptcy to save the house. Ok sounded great.  Well that was a mistake. They told us to do a chapter 7. Jody stayed up one night and had all the paperwork done so we could file them the next morning. We thought ok everything is going to be ok. Nope. We should of filed chapter 13 not 7. A lawyer said he would help us with getting it switched from a chapter 7 to a chapter 13. Great Stuff is actually going good. Well that’s what we thought anyhow. Not our luck. The judge denied getting it changed to a chapter 13. I really think the loan company has something to do with it. They are a big company and from what we have found out, they have taken a lot of money and houses from a lot of people.

So where do we go from here? We have contacted everyone we can think of for help, from the governor to the state senate, with no help.  I will never have $40,000 to stick down on a house again. I thought I was doing the right thing.

I work every day, I am not sitting home living off the government. But it seems like the more I work the less anyone wants to help you. What is wrong with this picture?  Some of the programs we checked into we didn’t qualify for due to the fact I work. Are you kidding? I am getting punished for working? If I quit my job and lived off from welfare I could get help. I am sorry but that doesn’t make sense to me at all. Plus I could never quit my job. I love to work. After my accident I couldn’t wait to get back to work. I used to work 2 jobs but since accident I can only work one.

Jody and I don’t go spending our money on stupid stuff. We don’t go to eat out; we cook at home, Its healthier plus less money.  I bring my lunch to work so that way it saves us money also. We don’t buy junk food, so no one can say well all your money is going on sodas or chips.  For Christmas Jody made the dogs all dog toys and also handmade gifts for me. Yes I did spend some money on her for Christmas but it was for stuff she needed and it was less than $100.  

We had to switch insurance this year. So it is costing us $80 a month for medical insurance. But we hope that with the better insurance Jody can go to see different doctors.

We are doing everything we can to try to save the house but are stuck. We don’t know what else to do.

Update

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. We cooked at home, its too risky with the time of year and everyone being sick for Jody to go out. She didn't eat. Its ok I ate enough for the both of us lol.
Since they uped her meds she hasnt been sleeping well. Half of the reason we figured out was the restless leg pills were reacting with the meds. Dont know why, the dr said it was ok to take them. So she has stopped the restless leg pills and is sleeping a little better.
As far as eating its still hit or miss. She does try to keep fluids down.
Work is crazy right now. We are doing leaf removal. We have had some rainy days but alot of nice weather lately. Hope the weather stays nice so I can keep working.
We are looking into getting testing done at different hospitals better than UT. We need answers as to whats going on with Jody.

Been busy

Hello everyone.  First I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
I am sorry I haven't updated in awhile. It is the time of year for leaf removal.  By time I get home I am exhausted.
As far as updates on Jody, her rheumatologist has uped some of her medications. 
She goes in on Monday December 1st for something called a swallow test. Not for sure what they are looking for.
Jody is still having trouble keeping food down. Wish they would figure this out already.  I am not for sure what if anything she will be able to eat tomorrow. 
We are staying at home for Thanksgiving & will be cooking a turkey & a couple other things. Just nothing to heavy or to big.
